Enable or disable features for your chapter
How Feature Toggles Work
Admins can enable or disable features for the entire chapter from the Admin page. Disabling a feature removes it from the sidebar and prevents all members from accessing it. Data is never deleted — re-enable anytime and everything is exactly where you left it.
Available Features
Toggle any of these features on or off:
- Announcements — Chapter-wide announcements with rich text, pinning, and member interactions.
- Calendar — Events with RSVP, sign-in codes, excuse management, and attendance logs.
- Check-In Maps — GPS-verified location check-ins with scheduling, points, and leaderboards.
- Drive — Shared file storage with folders, visibility controls, and file previews.
- Expenses — Receipt submission with approval workflows, categories, and PDF reports.
- Meals — Meal plan management with menus, orders, and dietary tracking. (Paid plan feature)
- Messages — Direct and group messaging between chapter members.
- Points — Points systems with leaderboards, automatic awards, and analytics.
- Polls — Voting and surveys with multiple question types, scheduling, and anonymous options.
- Rush — Recruitment management with PNM tracking, structured interviews, and voting.
- Tasks — Assign tasks to groups or individuals with deadlines, approvals, uploads, polls, and points.
- Alumni — Alumni directory and engagement tools.
How to Toggle Features
- Navigate to Admin from the sidebar.
- Find the feature you want to enable or disable.
- Tap the toggle switch. The change takes effect immediately for all members.
What Happens When You Disable a Feature
- The feature is removed from the sidebar for all members.
- Direct URL access is blocked — members are redirected away.
- All data is preserved. Nothing is deleted.
- Re-enable the feature anytime and all content, settings, and history are restored.
Plan Restrictions
Most features are available on all paid plans. Meals and Headquarters are only available on paid plans and may require an active subscription to enable. During the free trial, all features are accessible.
Tips
- Disable features your chapter doesn’t use to keep the sidebar clean and reduce confusion for members.
- Enable Rush only during recruitment season, then disable it when rush ends.
- New chapters: start with Calendar, Announcements, and Points, then enable more as your chapter grows into the platform.
