Completing Tasks
How members complete tasks and track their progress
Finding Your Tasks
There are three places to see tasks assigned to you:
- Tasks Page: Go to Tasks from the sidebar. The "My Tasks" tab shows all your assigned tasks grouped by urgency — Overdue, Upcoming, No Deadline, and Completed.
- Dashboard Feed: Outstanding tasks appear as cards in your activity feed, showing the task name, description, deadline, and your personal status.
- Header Drawer: Tap the clipboard icon in the top navigation bar to open a quick-view drawer listing all your outstanding tasks.
Completing a Task
How you complete a task depends on its requirements:
Simple Task (No Requirements)
Tap "Mark Complete" on the task row or open the task detail page and tap the complete button. Your status changes to "Completed" immediately.
Upload Required
Tap "Upload & Complete" and select a file from your device. The file is uploaded and your task is marked as complete (or sent for approval if required). Your upload is stored in the chapter Drive.
Poll Required
Navigate to the linked poll and submit your response. Your task auto-completes when the poll response is recorded — no need to go back to the task. If the task also requires a file upload, you'll need to complete that separately.
Approval Required
After you complete the task, your status changes to "Awaiting Approval." An officer or admin will review your submission and either approve or deny it. You'll receive a notification either way.
Status Meanings
- Not Started: You haven't taken action on this task yet.
- Awaiting Approval: You've submitted but an officer needs to review it.
- Denied: Your submission was rejected. Check the feedback and resubmit.
- Completed: You're all done — the task is finished.
Resubmitting After Denial
If your task is denied, you'll see the reason on the task detail page. You can resubmit by completing the task again — upload a new file or re-mark it as complete. The task goes back to "Awaiting Approval" for another review.
