Reviewing and managing task submissions as an officer
Approval Workflow
When a task requires approval, member submissions go into a review queue. Officers with "Task Admin" permission can approve or deny submissions from the task detail page or the approvals feed.
Reviewing Submissions
From the Task Detail Page
Open any task to see the completions table. Members with "Awaiting Approval" status show approve and deny action buttons. You can preview uploaded evidence files directly in the browser.
From the Approvals Feed
On desktop, the approvals panel appears alongside All Tasks. On mobile, it's a separate tab. The feed shows all pending submissions across all tasks, sorted newest first.
Approving a Submission
Tap the checkmark icon next to a member's submission. Their status changes to "Completed" and they receive a push notification. If the task awards points, points are automatically added to their record.
Denying a Submission
Tap the deny icon to open a dialog where you can provide an optional reason for the denial. The member is notified and sees the feedback on their task detail page. They can resubmit to try again.
Notifications
- New Submission: Officers receive a push notification when a member submits a task for approval.
- Approval: The member is notified when their task is approved.
- Denial: The member is notified with the denial reason when their task is denied.
