Dues

Paying your dues

Find what you owe on My Dues and pay by card

If your chapter collects dues through Greek Connect, you can see what you owe and pay by card from the My Dues page.

Finding My Dues

Any of these gets you there:

  • Open Finance → Dues in the app.
  • Tap the push notification or the View & Pay button in the email you get when your treasurer bills you.
  • Officers who manage dues: open Finance → Dues and click My dues at the top of the page.

My Dues lists each charge you still owe, with its billing period, due date, status and the amount you owe. If you don't owe anything, it says You're all paid up.

If Finance → Dues shows a "Coming soon" page, your chapter hasn't started using Dues yet. If you can't open My Dues at all, ask a chapter admin to check that your role has Dues set to at least User in Admin → Roles.

Paying by card

1. On My Dues, find the charge and tap Pay.

2. A secure Stripe checkout page opens. Enter your card details and confirm. Dues can only be paid by card.

3. Stripe sends you back to My Dues, which shows Payment received, updating… while your balance catches up. The charge then moves out of your outstanding list.

If you close the checkout page without paying, My Dues shows Payment cancelled and nothing is charged.

Your card details go to Stripe, the payment processor. Greek Connect never sees or stores them.

Why the total is higher than my dues

Some chapters pass the card processing fee on to members. When yours does, the charge shows a second line, "$X at checkout", under the amount you owe. That's the total your card will be charged. Tap Show details to see the split between your dues balance and the processing and service fee.

If there's no "at checkout" line, your chapter covers the fee and you pay exactly the amount shown.

A charge says "Not open yet"

Your treasurer hasn't opened that charge for payment. You'll get a notification when it opens.

Receipts and payment history

After a card payment, you get an email receipt titled "Receipt: charge title dues payment". It shows the total charged, the charge, the date and a reference number, and it says if your balance is now paid in full.

To look back at charges you've paid, tap Show payment history at the bottom of My Dues. Tap any charge to see its payments and any changes your treasurer made, such as a waiver, credit or refund.

If you paid in cash or by check, your treasurer records it, and it shows in the same history.

Dues notifications

You'll hear about dues when:

  • Your treasurer opens a new charge for you: push notification, inbox message and email.
  • A due date is coming up or has passed, if your chapter has reminders turned on: push notification and email. Reminders stop once you've paid.
  • Your treasurer sends you a reminder by hand.

To stop dues reminder push notifications, open your Notifications settings, find Dues & Expenses, and turn off Dues Reminders. This covers new-charge and reminder pushes, and only push notifications on your phone. Emails and inbox messages still arrive, because your chapter decides whether reminders go out by email. Payment-problem and refund alerts have their own switches in the same group.

Common questions

I paid but My Dues still shows a balance

Wait a minute and refresh. The payment is recorded when Stripe confirms it, which is usually immediate but can take a short time. If it still shows after that, contact your treasurer with the reference number from your receipt email.

I was charged the wrong amount

Talk to your treasurer. They can adjust your balance or refund a card payment from their side.

Can I pay part of my dues?

Pay charges the full amount you owe on that charge. If you need to pay in pieces, ask your treasurer about paying the rest in cash or by check, which they record for you.
